Brigadier General (retired) P.N. Rao VSM Advisor
An Infantry Officer of the Indian Army, served for over 34 years with distinction. During the service,
the he commanded the elite high altitude force of the Army, the Ladakh Scouts on Siachen Glacier
with distinction. Graduated from the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He commanded
an Infantry Brigade deployed on the Line of Control in the Jammu & Kashmir, where in recognition
of his devotion and dedication in curbing the militant activities, the President awarded him with
Vishista Seva Medal.
Held Posts:
Head of Security of the State Bank of India and as Advisor to the Chairman, - introduced modern electronic surveillance concepts down to the branch level besides contributing to enhancement of skills of security personnel by upgrading the training scope and pattern.
Visiting Faculty in the Ocean Education & Research Centre, Mumbai and in the International Institute of Security and Safety Management (IISSM) New Delhi. In recognition of his services, the IISSM conferred the award of
'Certified Security Consultant'.
